Behind CHAISKI

Sat Sri Akal

Hello, hi, Sat Sri Akal.. welcome to CHAISKI!

Luckily, from my Indian (Punjabi) side of the family, I have always known the taste of chai, and have always loved it.

Having now lived in both the U.S. & U.K. for many years, I have found only sparingly a masala chai to enjoy as it should be - in its full, spicy, milky and sweet glory. As it is enjoyed in India, or in any Indian home around the world.

Chai, in my opinion, can mean a lot of things:

- an alarm clock (it's easier waking up with chai)

- a break (you deserve it)

- a time to connect (chat over chai?)

- a gift (how thoughtful of you)

Making homemade chai is one of these little moments in life you look forward to.

As I get older, I realise it's more about these little moments, or daily practices, are the ones to cherish and nourish.

This sparked the idea for CHAISKI.

There are 3 goals with creating CHAISKI:

1. Share the daily ritual of making traditional masala chai for those that might enjoy it.

2. Run a little business with a sustainable approach and eco-friendly product.

3. Give some back. 10% of your purchase goes to a charity in India that helps homeless animals called Peepal Farm; additionally CHAISKI products are sustainably produced, fair trade and recyclable and/or reusable.
